Messaging Guidelines
Rules and safety options for private practitioner–patient messaging in Calendia.
1. Purpose and scope
Calendia messaging is for appropriate communication between a patient and the practitioner or authorized care team at a business where a booking has established a care or service relationship. It is private and does not let users discover or contact arbitrary people.
These guidelines apply to messages sent through Calendia.
2. Expected conduct
- Keep communication relevant to the practitioner–patient relationship, appointments, treatment, follow-up, or related service questions.
- Do not harass, threaten, intimidate, exploit, or abuse another person.
- Do not send sexual misconduct, spam, illegal content, malicious files, or content that violates another person’s rights.
- Clinical and anatomical language is allowed when it is appropriate to the care or service being discussed.
3. Reporting and ending contact
Use Report beside a message to report that message, or Report conversation for the wider exchange. Reports are reviewed by authorized administrators. The other person is not told who filed a report.
Either side can end messaging contact. This stops new direct messages and preserves existing messages according to the applicable retention policy. Ending messaging contact does not cancel appointments.
4. Urgent help and continuity of care
Do not use Calendia messaging for emergencies. Contact the appropriate local emergency service when immediate help is needed.
If messaging contact ends while an appointment or ongoing care issue is active, contact the business through its published contact details or email Calendia support at [email protected] for help reaching the right support path.
5. Privacy and enforcement
Only send information needed for the conversation and avoid sharing access tokens, passwords, or unrelated personal information. See the Privacy Policy for more information about data handling and retention.
Authorized platform administrators may investigate reports and restrict messaging access when needed to address abuse, safety, security, or policy violations.
